Effectiveness Testing

Your two-year review checks that you have controls

It does not check that they work.

An independent effectiveness review reads your policies, samples your files, and interviews your team. What it almost never does is generate a transaction that should have alerted and confirm that it did.

What we do

We build synthetic cases for the typologies your rules are meant to catch - structuring, rapid movement through accounts, sanctioned counterparties, activity that does not fit the customer profile - and run them against your monitoring.

You get the number that got through, the cases that were missed, and a test set you can re-run after every rule change.

No production access, no customer data

Every case is constructed. Nothing real leaves your systems, nothing sensitive is copied, and there is no integration to undo if you decide not to continue.

What you keep

The results and the test set. Both are yours, and both are the kind of thing you can put in front of an examiner who asks how you know your monitoring works.

Talk to us

Tell us one rule and what it is meant to catch. We will tell you whether testing it is worth the effort. Sometimes it is not.
